Products & Materials

What we build with,
and what survives here.

The plants, stone, turf, and systems we recommend after thirty years of installing — and replacing — landscapes in the Hill Country.

Native & adapted
for Hill Country soil.

Thin caliche topsoil, summer drought, surprise freezes. These are the plants we install most because they survive without coddling.

Live Oak

Anchor shade tree. Long-lived, deep-rooted, evergreen. The Hill Country canopy.

Mountain Laurel

Evergreen ornamental with purple, grape-scented spring blooms. Slow but bulletproof.

Cedar Elm

Tough alternative shade tree. Handles limestone, drought, and Texas heat.

Texas Sage

Silver-leaf shrub that flowers purple after rain. Zero irrigation once established.

Autumn Sage

Long-bloom perennial in red, pink, or white. Hummingbird magnet.

Muhly Grass

Pink-cloud ornamental grass in fall. Soft form, low water, deer-resistant.

Yaupon Holly

Evergreen hedge or single-stem. Red winter berries. Pruned to almost any shape.

Blackfoot Daisy

Low white-flowering groundcover. Blooms spring through fall on no water.

Twisted Yucca

Sculptural accent for full sun. Native Hill Country yucca. Truly zero-water.

Stone, concrete,
and what we build with.

Every surface starts with the base. The finish is what you see — base prep is what makes it last.

Texas Limestone

Locally quarried flag or chopped block. Cool underfoot, ages with character, the obvious Hill Country choice for patios, walls, and veneer.

Stamped Concrete

The most cost-effective patio surface. Pattern and integral color matched to the home. Sealed for stain and UV resistance.

Pavers

Modular concrete or porcelain. Wide color range, easy to lift and repair. A natural fit for driveways and modern patios.

Decomposed Granite

Soft, casual walking surface for beds and pathways. Stabilized version locks for an ADA-friendly grade.

Natural & synthetic
options.

We install both. The honest call: synthetic wins where pets, shade, or slope kill grass. Natural sod wins everywhere else.

Natural Sod

Zoysia for shade-tolerance and texture. Bermuda for full sun and durability. Buffalo for low-water back acreage.

Artificial Turf

Pet-friendly drainage backing with a multi-year UV warranty. Multi-tone blade for a natural appearance — not the bright-green stuff.

Watering
that thinks.

Smart controllers cut typical Hill Country water bills meaningfully in summer. We retrofit existing systems and design new installs.

Smart Controllers

Weather-aware, wifi, app-controlled. Pauses for rain, runs on schedule the rest of the time.

Pro Controllers

Predictive watering with on-site rain and flow sensors. Diagnostics built for larger properties.

MP Rotators

Lower precipitation rate, slower distribution. The right choice for clay or slope.

Subsurface Drip

Bed-zone drip for shrubs and perennials. Zero evaporation loss, no overspray.

Flow Monitoring

Flow and pressure sensor on the mainline. Catches leaks before they show on the bill.

Backflow Service

Required by code. Annual certification handled by the licensed irrigator on staff.
